JOINT VENTURE IN THE REPUBLIC OF TAJIKISTAN

 

In mid-2019, “Azkompozit” (Azerbaijan) and “Avesto Group” (Tajikistan) agreed to establish a new production facility in the city of Dushanbe, Republic of Tajikistan.

Thus, an investment agreement was signed between the two companies to establish a joint venture called "Kompozit T A ”.

Despite all challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, the construction of a new plant in Dushanbe, the supply of equipment, installation, commissioning and start-up went without delay, according to the planned work schedule.

“Kompozit TA” is a joint venture whose goal is to produce and deliver world-class GRP pipes and fittings with diameters ranging from DN400 to DN3000 to sustainably solve domestic water and sewer challenges in the Republic of Tajikistan as well as surrounding countries in the Central Asia region.

The technology of “Kompozit TA” is fully based on helical winding know-how used by “Azkompozit”.

This technology is applied over the years in the field of manufacture of fiberglass pipes for various applications such as delivery of drinking water, irrigation, wastewater discharge, as well as hydropower and other industry needs.

The opening ceremony of the joint venture was held on August 28, 2021 with the participation of the Head of the State of Tajikistan, Mr. Emomali Rahmon.
